Samantha Leon is a Zumba instructor for the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan. She is known for getting everyone to dance and to have a good time. As a Zumba instructor, she gets to use her well developed set of social skills to develop relationships with her students.
Aside from Zumba, Samantha has gained food handling skills from being a food prep at Cork and Gabel, Holiday Market, Mexican Town Bakery and Café Con Leche. Her job responsibilities included: filling food containers, measuring pasta, sweeping and wiping down tables.
One of Samantha’s greatest qualities is her desire to make everyone around her happy. She radiates with a great attitude and bubbly personality; lifting the spirits of everyone around her. Her outgoing personality is a great attribute when it comes to giving her presentations as one of Mi Work Matters’ employment ambassadors. Her favorite things about being an ambassador are seeing her friends and receiving a paycheck while she's at it.
In her spare time, Samantha enjoys doing art projects, writing, watching movies, listening to music and dancing. She one day hopes to turn her hobbies of music and dancing into her dream career of performing on stage
