Good & Strong Club
The Good & Strong Club is a social club designed for tweens, teens and adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities to hang out, have fun, socialize and practice some vocational skills. Each gathering centers around giving back to the community. We strive to partner with local organizations on projects that that can benefit others. Of course, karaoke is part of our evenings too! $25 fee includes pizza dinner, drink, dessert and supplies.

Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit Mi Work Matter’s employment programs, including Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop & Cafe, our Employment Ambassadors and the Good & Strong Club.
Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
Stop by for a special day offering of Anastasia and Katie’s buttermilk pancakes, served with two eggs scrambled, bacon, warm syrup & whipped butter. $11 per person. Available all day on July 19th!

The new cafe, coming this fall, will be located within the new Livonia Senior Wellness Center, adjacent to the Kirksey Recreation Center! Proceeds will help us train new team members, outfit the space, and open doors to inclusion, one pour at a time.

Our Vocational Program will teach you job skills that will strengthen your employability options in the workplace and community.

Hear from an amazing group of self-advocates with various disabilities working at Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop and other local businesses. Learn how they are contributing to the success of their workplaces and defying the odds… one job at a time.
Good and Strong Club
The Good & Strong Club gatherings are held on the 2nd Friday of each month October through May from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Dinner, drink, dessert, karaoke and supplies for a community service project are included. More information.

There will also be some loosely structured, themed activities onsite, which will be chosen in advance and led by the people attending. Examples of the proposed activities are board games, karaoke and designing a t-shirt for the Good & Strong Club.
The summer Good & Strong Club Dates are:
June 23rd • July 21st • August 11th
The times for each club are broken into the age groups below.

One-Year Celebration of Anastasia and Katie's Coffee Shop
Celebrating One-Year of Opportunity and Inclusion for All!
January 14 - January 16, 2021
Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop & Café invites Livonia and surrounding communities to join them in celebrating the one-year anniversary of its establishment as an inclusive business that employs and supports individuals with developmental disabilities.
The celebration will take place over the course of three days, beginning on Thursday, January 14th and ending on Saturday, January 16th. The “One-Year of Opportunity and Inclusion for ALL” celebration will involve a special birthday drink on the menu for purchase and free giveaways to customers each day.
Anastasia and Katie's Coffee Shop and Café, located at 19215 Merriman Rd. in Livonia, MI, held its grand opening one-year ago, only a few months before the pandemic.
“I am overwhelmed with emotion as we celebrate our first year of operations at Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop & Cafe. In an unbelievably challenging year – our community has lifted us up,” said Kelly Rockwell, Cofounder and President of the coffee shop’s nonprofit, Mi Work Matters. “Our patrons, donors, and employees, have united in our mission of inclusion and opportunity for ALL!”
You can visit the coffee shop (carry-out only) for the three-day celebration event during normal business hours, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thursday and Friday, January 14- 15, and 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
The coffee shop is limited to five customers in-store at a time and the shop asks customers for their patience and understanding during this time.
“I am responsible and passionate about working at Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop and the work that I do,” said Marissa, a barista at the coffee shop. “I enjoy everything about my job, I love my co-workers and my managers and they’re very supportive when I need help. They’ve become good friends of mine. Working for Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop is my number one dream job I could ever ask for.”
