Katrina Moore
Board of Directors
Katrina is excited to serve on the Board of Directors for MI Work Matters. One of her passions is advocating for full inclusion for individuals with disabilities. The passion started with the birth of her 24 year son who has Down syndrome. The position on the board gives her the opportunity to pursue that passion in the workplace. One of her goals is to help her son and other people with disabilities become self-sufficient, productive citizens in society. Organizations like MI Work Matters will help achieve that goal.
She is an active member of Families Exploring Down Syndrome and Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan. She served on the Families Exploring Down Syndrome Board for several years. She has been a NDSS Athletic Ambassador for 3 years. She is proud to bring awareness of Down syndrome by wearing NDSS Athletic Ambassador gear while running races across the country! One of her proudest moments was hearing her name followed by “Representing NDSS!” when she crossed the finish line at the Run Disney 10K.
Katrina has been employed with the Federal Government for over 30 years. She has a BBA in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA from University of Detroit-Mercy. She lives in Southfield with her son.
